Music by The Piano Brothers

Phyllis J. (Moyer) Juliana, 84, formerly of Harrisburg and York Springs, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Friday, January 27th at Green Ridge Village in Newville, PA.

She was born in Lebanon, PA, the daughter of the late Helen Shuey (Moyer) Kerns and Harry F Moyer. She was a 1951 graduate of John Harris High School.

Phyllis met her future husband, Michael D Juliana, while in high school. He was her true love and constant companion, the center of her world. They were married 63 years before Mike passed away in 2015. Together they raised four children: Stephen (Jamie) of Hummelstown, Debra Eichenberger (Will) of Harrisburg, Patricia Smith (Gary) of Harrisburg, and Mark (Lisa) of Boiling Springs.

Phyllis was “Grammy” to eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She filled their lives with tea parties, creek-side picnics, and wonderful holiday celebrations and shared her love of birds and flowers.

She was her family’s support and greatest admirer.

Although she held occasional part time jobs, her vocation was caring for her husband and children. Mike’s work took the family to Syracuse, NY, Teays Valley, WV, and finally to York Springs, PA, to their rural home where they spent 40 happy years.

She and Mike were a large part of the Latimore Township community, and their door was always open. Friday night visits meant sharing a plate of her “German spaghetti”. Her selflessness, kindness and generosity were known to all.

Phyllis is survived by her children and their families, her sister Barbara Sterner of Wescosville, her sister-in-law Anna Rose Wilson of Harrisburg, and beloved extended family.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017, 2:00PM, at the Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc., 4100 Jonestown Road, Harrisburg PA. Visitation is from 1:00-2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations for walking trail benches for Latimore Township Park are being collected. Please make donations out to “Latimore Park” and send them c/o Deb Eichenberger 310 Oak St. Harrisburg, PA 17109.
