Marshall W. Davis, 88, of Harrisburg passed away on December 14, 2016. Born and raised in Scranton, PA, he was the elder son of Gerard and Frances Davis.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Shirley, as well as two sons, G. Scott and wife, Diane, of Hagerstown and Marshall K. and wife, Diana, of Mechanicsburg. Marshall “Pop”, leaves behind five grandsons, Ryan, Kyle, Evan, John, and Michael, and great grandson, Saer, all of whom loved him and will miss his presence in their lives very much. Marshall was predeceased by granddaughters Traci Nicole and Diana Mae. His brother, Ronald and wife, Mary, currently reside in Florida.

Marshall was a long time CEO of the Independent Insurance Agents Association of Pennsylvania. He also served as president and lobbyist for the Harrisburg Trade Association Executives for many years.

Subsequent to having served his country in the U.S. Navy, Marshall graduated from Penn State University in 1951. He was a long time member of Penbrook American Legion Post 730, West Shore Elks Lodge 2257 and VFW in Rehoboth Beach.

Marshall was an avid golf enthusiast, a long time member of the Harrisburg Country Club, and a past active member of the Pennsylvania Golf Association. He continued to enjoy the occasional round of golf with his friends, sons, and grandsons well into his 80’s.

Our memories of Pop and his quick wit will live on in our hearts and will ALWAYS guarantee to bring a smile. May he Rest In Peace.
