William “Bill” David Donnelly, 96, of Lititz, PA, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014.

 Bill was born on February 9, 1918 in Audubon, New Jersey. He was the oldest of three siblings.

 Mr. Donnelly served proudly during WWII as a Master Sergeant in the US Army. He was stationed in the Pacific Theater in the Philippines, New Guinea and Australia. He graduated from Audubon High School. Bill enjoyed meeting new people in his job as a building materials salesman for many years and had customers in NJ, Delaware & PA areas. Bill was a long time resident of Oaklyn, NJ and on retirement moved to Brethren Village in Lititz, PA.

 He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed being an active member of the National Railway Historical Society, Lancaster, PA chapter for several years. Bill loved to read, especially newspapers his family sent him from all over the world. Traveling was always a love of his, even if done vicariously through others.

 Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marjorie (Beauchamp); son Jeff (Annie) Donnelly of Ringoes, NJ and daughter Sue (Terry) Henke of Overland Park, KS; his grandsons, Patrick and Ryan Henke of Overland Park, KS.

 He was preceded in death by his parents David & Gertrude (Shingle) Donnelly, sister Jane (formerly Worrell) Glauner and sister Inez (Peggy) Moyer.

 A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00AM at Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA.

 In lieu of flowers and to honor the memory of Bill, donations can be made to Brethren Village “Team Member Gift Fund”,  3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA 17606 Attn: Nancy Eshleman, Director of HR – Payable to Brethren Village & indicate “Team Member Gift Fund”.
