Edgar B. Hall, 92, a resident of Arbor View at Willow Valley in Lancaster, died peacefully on July 22 with family at his side.

He was born in Minneapolis and graduated in 1939 with a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota, where he was a member of Tau Beta Pi honor society. After graduation, he moved to Wilmington, DE, to begin a forty-year career with the DuPont Company. Most of his work was in the Wilmington area with additional periods in Texas and Frankfurt, Germany. He was a life member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Edgar was happily married for sixty-four years to Mary Andereck Hall, who died in 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Jo Hall, of Lancaster; his son, Douglas E. Hall, and his wife Bettyann of Mechanicsburg, PA; his grandsons, Jeffrey D. Hall and
his wife Jamie of Danville, PA, and Keith M. Hall and his wife Sheree of Middletown, DE; his great-grandson, Ty J. Hall, of Danville and great-granddaughter, Lea C. Hall, also of Danville.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held at Willow Valley on July 31 at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his name to Philadelphia Library for the Blind, 919 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107. Ed enjoyed their "talking books" for many years.
