William E. Sadler (Crabby), 88, of Bethany Towers in Mechanicsburg passed away early Sunday morning, March 27th, 2011 at ManorCare in Camp Hill, Pa.

Born November, 30, 1922 in Mechanicsburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Baum) Sadler. He was the widower of the former Madelyn (Eckrich) Sadler and was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Ann, three brothers June, Selvester (Bess) and Bud and three sisters, Deloros, Mariam (Morris), Winifred (Tanner) and long time friend Mary Cook.

He is survived by two sons Michael Sadler and wife Diane of Mechanicsburg, Robert Sadler and wife Lynne of Dillsburg and a daughter Jonnie Beth of Grand Junction, Colorado, grandchildren Chris, Mic and wife Marcia, Matthew, Trisha, Alyssa and Bobby Sadler and 4 great grandchildren Bella, Anden, Charlotte and Carson.

He was a WW II veteran and Sergeant in the 11th Airborne, the 1st troops in Japan and was retired from IBM since 1982.

He was a 1942 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. He was an avid photographer who enjoyed taking pictures and giving then to family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, going to Canada, Colorado and Tucson for many years.

A memorial and celebration of his life will be held at 3:30pm at St. Mark Luthern Church at 117 West Keller St. in Mechanicsburg, Pa. on Sunday, April 3, 2011.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church memorial fund.
