George Morales, 78, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away April 27, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.

Born June 17, 1940, in Bronx, New York, son of Amelia Arroyo and Placido Morales.

Mr. Morales served his country with the U.S. Merchant Marines and worked as a security agent at the Harrisburg Hospital for 21 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and Pop Pop who was very patriotic and a good Christian man.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra Shunk; sons, Nate, Matthew, and Carlos; daughters, San Vargas, Jeanette Van Deusen, Loretta Lopez, and Sharon Torres; brothers, Daniel Morales, John Morales, and Brian Shunk; grandchildren, Michael, Bella, Legend, Gloria, Daisy, John, Jeremy, Rafelina, Jessica, Marilyn, Melissa, Jorvany, Xavier, and Ariana; and other family members, Justo, Leida, Karen, Joan Morales and Yoly Morales.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 15 at the Morales residence.

In you would like to make donations, please make them to the 700 Club, the American Heart Association, and the American Lung Association.

Dear Sandy, Nate, Sharon, Legend and family... My heart goes out to each and everyone of you.....George is A GREAT MAN....!! Someone with whom so many looked up to! Is heart was always in the right place... He and I go Way back....SO MANY Precious Memories.... Always know that he will never be forgotten.... He is a true HERO....a strong, loving, family man..... till the end. The memory that brings a smile to my face and a giggle to my lips...is the day We took a picture of the apple pie I was making for him... Within 4 minutes my Georgie Porgie was at my door! I will never forget our talks, our special moments, the laughter and the tears that we have shared! George You continue to soar.. spread your wings and fly high! It was a pleasure and a gift to have had you in our lives.... and I look forward to seeing you again. Each and everyone morning I will continue to pray..... I will forever be here for your family.... Until we meet again George..... Love ya!!
