Elizabeth Katherine Wallen, 96, formerly of Camp Hill, died peacefully at the Church of God Home in Carlisle on February 17, 2019. Mrs. Wallen was born on March 30, 1922 in Bristol, Tennessee, the daughter of George Robert Hughes and Beatrice Alverta Booher Hughes. She was the granddaughter of Dr. William Booher of Bristol and the great granddaughter of Charles Foster of Foster Falls, Tennessee.

Mrs. Wallen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vernon G. Wallen. Elizabeth and Vernon were happily married for 55 years.

Mrs. Wallen graduated from Bristol High School and attended King College. She was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Bristol, TN, and The Eastern Star. She was also a retiree of the State Auto Mutual Insurance Company. Throughout her life, she loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Europe, Bermuda, and Hawaii. She was passionate about quilting, sewing, and gardening.

Surviving are three daughters, Eleanor Stoner-Dukes of Texas, Carolyn Dean of Virginia, and Susan (Craig) Donahue of Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Lyndee Espinosa, Kimberly Dean, Julianne Dean, and Christopher Donahue; two great grandchildren, Alejandro Jr. and Anthony Villalpando; six great great grandchildren, Angelina, Alejandro III, Andrian, Anthony Jr., Gael, and Aiden Villalpando.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA.

Services will be held on March 2nd at 10:00 AM in the chapel at Rolling Green Cemetery with Reverend Marleen Griffith-Stull officiating. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM.
