Phyllis Springer Fry, 90, died December 8, 2018 at Hanover. She was the wife of Paul Lockwood Fry, her husband of 67 years.

Phyllis was born August 28, 1928 in New Washington, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clement Laird Springer and Emma Margaret High Springer.

Phyllis was a graduate of New Washington (Ohio) High School and Capital University.  She spent several years as a secondary school teacher and 10 years as an accountant at Rockwell International.  

Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed baking for her family, reading and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her husband, sons David Fry of Ellicott City, MD, and Brian Fry of Danbury, CT, daughter Margaret Glessner of Myersville, MD, 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, and 2 great-grandchildren.  

A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover at 11 AM, Saturday, December 15, 2018.  Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 in the Parlor prior to the service.  Burial will be in St. Johns Lutheran cemetery in New Washington, Ohio at a later date.  Pennsylvania Cremation Society is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, the Hanover Public Library, or Homewood at Plum Creek.
